NorthEast Childcare Training

This information was provided by North East Childcare Training

We currently deliver the Level 2 Certificate and Level 3 Diploma for the Children and Young Peoples Workforce through distance learning but we only concentrate on the North East of England and we are covering Northumberland to York/Leeds.

There is funding available for both levels with the Diploma being funded through the 24+Advanced Learning Loans which the government

introduced this year. We also do Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools at both levels and

both funded. We deliver the Level 5 in Leadership and Management but at present there is no public funding.

We also deliver the CYPW and STLS as Intermediate and Advanced Apprenticeships if nurseries/childminders have people working for them and

are employed. Grants are available if taking on a person 16-24 of 1500.00 and the learner can access a bursary of up to 3000.00 if they have

English and Maths at grade C at GSCE Level.

We also offer the CYPOP5 – How to set up a home based childcare service. This is available online and currently (Dec 2013) costs £200

We also deliver First Aid Training depending on demand and distance. Currently (Dec 2013) we charge £65 per person.

People can travel to attend our First Aid Courses or we may be able to deliver in other locations – however we would have to charge extra to

cover travel and when needed overnight accommodation.
