Thank you for contacting me about the Government’s proposals on childcare. I am particularly concerned about the impact this will have on child safety and the quality of childcare . The policy Liz Truss MP is has outlined will have grave implications for the future of childminding in this country. I agree with the points you make in your email, that these measures will have a profound effect on childminders such as yourself and families looking for high quality childcare.
I will do all I can to raise this issue in Parliament. I’d be more than happy to meet with you and other childminders in Darlington to discuss these measures.
